Zerco Secure Card Credentialing System: Standards Compliance
The Zerco SCCS biometric enrollment process builds a NIST Certified interoperable database of secure fingerprint templates and trusted demographic enrollment data that can be used in a variety of commercial off the shelf biometric products. Zerco’s Biometric matching engine and template builder provides true interoperability and cross platform integration capability by leveraging NIST, HSPD-12 FIPS-201 and Bio-API based standards.
Combining standards assures that the enrollment database can be used with all leading fingerprint sensors and dozens of biometric products available today along with new technologies as they become available in the future. This approach puts organizations in control of their biometric database and what identity management products best suit their needs over a long period of time. With the use of our built in FBI certified Livescan capture system, we have the ability to centrally capture high quality fingerprint images for use in creating biometric matching templates that are more accurate and have fewer false rejections at verification events.
Zerco allows multiple uses of our enrollment database within an organization resulting in a sharing of the cost of the biometric enrollment across multiple services such as password management, single sign on, physical access control, time and attendance, employee background screening, Electronic Form I-9 process, E-verify worker eligibility verification, criminal history record checks, smart card integration and other applications providing a high ROI and strong security while assisting with regulatory compliance.
Zerco’s secure enrollment process relieves Human Resource officials from many required tasks faced during the new hire process or in performing or maintaining employee background screening requirements. Our system helps to build necessary Identity Management database that can be used to address regulatory compliance for HIPPA, FISMA, SOX, and others.
